It looks a lot like the old Turners, but this one has the attractive embossed linework on the body.
Inside is a 70's German dynamic element and I added an impedance transformer. The element is now very hot (around 1300 Ohms) and no feedback.
To be able to put the mic on a flat surface I installed a Switchcraft regular guitarplug. Original blue paint

I love Aiwa's for amplified harp. This one is good for it's clean tone. It has a lot of bite, but is not too crunchy or nasty.
Imo very good for playing themes. Very good for recording as well.
The mic was about double the size it is now. I chopped half of it. In the back is an Switchcraft-like connector from Aiwa.
diam. 33mm / weight 162g

1950's Japanese dynamic microphone 2400Ohms. This mic!!!! It sounds like a beast. Just like all the Hi-Z Japanese mics.

Chrome is in fanatastic shape. Also the switch is working without cracks or noises.
Rare 630 model. The mic shape is a little different than the common 630.

Beautiful Primo M131 in mint condition, was also sold under the name Argonne, Calrad and others. Made in Japan in the fifties and 60's.
This one has the original crystal element. I would say with 100% output! This microphone sounds so very sweet, warm and full.... it is amazing. It has the element placed in the back the way it was original. And this gives this mic that perfect perfect tone. I placed a metal grill behind the chrome grill. You can remove if you like. I installed a new Switchcraft 2501mp connector.
Diameter 34mm / weight 492 g
A Japanese, probably 70's 'Pistol' microphone. Contrary to what the brandname suggests it is a dynamic microphone.
It probabaly was manufactured under license by Akai. It held the exact same dynamic element as the Akai DM-13. The element in this microphone was shot, so I replaced it with another DM-13 high impedance element 1900 Ohms.
It has a real nice warm tone and is very hot. All the wiring is new. The On/Off switch has been rewired as well. No crackles or hums.
A new Switchcraft connector is installed.
Update: I also installed a connector for a stand. See last picture.
Diameter 47mm / weight 176g!!
Extraordenary model. It used to be on a foot. It was used as a Ham microphone.
I chopped the foot and added a Switchcraft connector and a volume control in the back with a huge knob. Now you can see where you are regarding your volume.
I did not add an impedance transformer as the element already has a 500Ohm DC resistance. It sounds really sweet and warm. Lots of low!
It is suitable for a larger amp with enough headroom. On a smaller amp (5W) it is a little underpowered, but still very good tone. (On request I can add an impedance transformer).
All aluminum so very lightweight. Very good handling voor cupping.

One more Philips Tulip. Inside is a fat tone high impedance element. No feedback and super hot!!!

Philips EL6031/50 very small microphone, easy to hold for smaller hands. Somewhere from the 60's. This model was used many times by Fidel Castro at his long long speeches. And by Mick Jagger. It is nknown for its great properties.
The openings in the body I have closed with different colors 3d printing filament to make a 100% airtight cup.
Also I added an impedance transformer to raise the impedance to app. 1300 Ohms.
The mic really sounds warm and has a beautiful crunch.
I added a new switchcraft connector and all new wiring inside.

Weight 117g
Diameter 35mm (with gasket 44mm)
Very small Russian dynamic microphone from 1969. It had a low impedance element inside that was broken. I replaced it with a Philips Mid-Z microphone cartridge LBB 3100/00 And also added a vintage impedance transformer (1473 Ohm) cranking this mic into the dirt!
Also new wiring and a new Switchcraft 2501MP connector.
The tone is amazing! Low/mids and high are very well balanced. Nice breakup. This is not a clean mic!
It comes with a rubber gasket that provides a really good airtight grip. Or with small hands use it without the gasket.
Take a look at the photos. I transformed this mic from a dull grey to racing green!

This bullit mic is a customized Ham microphone from the 1980's.
It used to be a desk microphone for ham communication. Inside is a huge 200 Ohms vintage microphone capsule with a new impedance transformer. It has around 1100 Ohms.
It sounds really warm and round. Great output and fat tone. Wiring, connector and volume control are all new. Really cool big wheel volume control. Easy to read your volume on. gigs
It took me some effort to get this shell 100% airtight as it consists of two parts.
Also found under the brand Maas KM-232 and Leson.
Nice two tone design.
This is one of my Husky Howler prototypes. It has several layers of paint. I created this patina look. It looks like this mic has been used many many decades, but actualy it is brand new.
