Husky Howler

price list
Diameter 60,5mm

Weight +- 165 gr

Breaking through the band with the Husky Howler.

The Husky Howler has the highly appraised Husky Black Thunder or Red Devil element inside. These is the same elements that also fit my Mini Bullet.

The size and shape and weight of the alloy shell is best compared with an Astatic 200s. The weight is much lower than that of a JT30 (250g) or Shure Bullet (340g), it is around 165 grams (Astatic 200s is 190g)

Both elements have deep lows, nice crunch and amazing output. And no trouble with feedback!

The Black Thunder element is most suitable for beginner/intermediate players. Your cupping technique is still developing but thanks to the chracteristics of the Black Thunder Element, you already get that warm crunchy Chicago Blues tone. At the same time it is a marvelous microophone for skilled players using a somewhat brighter amp.

Husky Mics are played by Ben Bouman, Blind Dog Mayer, Paul Lamb, Steve West Weston, Nico Wayne Toussaint, Pascal Redondo, Bertram Becher, Daniel Maerten, Tim Corbett, Frank Bowy, Arno de Haas, Dave Bell, Lennart Henning, Josef Graf, Ruurd van der Vegt, Katsuyuki Harpman, Cameron McKinnon, Wayne Kessler and many more

Yes I am very satisfied! With a full cup it  has nice deep lows and with a little air it is a screamer with nice mids and highs! (translated from Dutch).

Manuel Sanchez Ibanez

Hi Robert, the mic arrived this afternoon.... I just did a quick test through my Kalamazoo and sounds AWESOME...and the size is perfect for me.... I am very very happy..congratulations!!

Blind Dog Mayer

Happy and gifted at the same time!

I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank Robert Huikes, the owner of HUSKY MICS & HARP GEAR, for the first class repair of my old Shure Green Bullet. Great job and modification - it sounds better than before! And as if that wasn't great enough, along with the repaired mic came his latest creation: the HUSKY HOWLER in red hot! It looks and sounds great! I was so to speak richly gifted today and who wants great handmade harp bullets or would also like to have his repaired, at HUSKY MICS & HARP GEAR you are in the best hands.

Henrik Vultee

"I played yesterday in à bluesjam , where I met another player. He testet the Husky Howler, and was very impressed so he got your mailadress. I will let all my harmonicafrends test the Husky"

Mario Hemken

"The Husky Howler came yesterday, I only had a chance to hold it in my hands, it is a great size! And it looks amazing! Regarding the neighbors I will play it after the holidays. I can't wait to play this gift I got for myself, I'm excited. I will let you know when I've played it!" (translated)

Tim Corbett

"It sounds great and I can stand right beside the amp without any feedback. Back to back testing with my CM Astatic and the Black Thunder Element outshines it with lots of grit and bottom end. Looking forward to gigging with it to give it a full test under band conditions. Many thanks and well done on bringing something new to the table regarding microphones."

Andre Coelho

"I really loved the sound and it worked perfectly on the marble amps!"

Dany Piastra

"Hello robert, i received the mic, tested it at home and it sounds great, fat and powerful. I can't wait to try it in real life (jam / concert)".

Jonny Nice

"Excellent mic ... nice size ... nice weight ...great element ....responds really well to air pressure. 👍"

Daniel Maerten

"Well... it is really good and the HH challenges the best vintage elements. The tone is really inspiring me when I play. For instance when I recorded the demo this afternoon, the first attempt was just the good one because whatever you play it sounds good!!"

The Mic is a killer!!

It sounds great. I would say that it is more vintage, like the old elements. It is very easy to hold (the size is perfect to me), very light, the colour and paint are very nice. I need more time to test it but it seems to be a winner!!"

Curt Ahnlund

" Your Howler is fantastic. I Have used   Shure 545H Unidyne III for some time. Too squely and sharp.... Howler hit the right frequencies!"

Cameron McKinnon

"Tone is superb ! Lots of bottom end ! It’s a Howler for sure !"
